The NRDC works to safeguard the earth—its people, its plants and animals, and the natural systems on which all life depends. Milk is a culturally conscious company built to enable creative expression and collaboration. 

In 2019, Milk and NRDC partnered to help raise awareness about the threats to
our health and environment with a climate capsule collection titled “Unfortunately, Ready To Wear”. Launched with Lukas Sabbat, it consisted of a set of seemingly future-facing fashion ‘essentials’ that actually solve for a current climate change threat. Sharing the message that climate change is real—and happening right now. 

Product Shots

The conceptual wardrobe consisted of a bandana for wildfire smog, extreme weather warning headphones, a fireproof jacket and an extreme storm backpack; for prolonged heat waves, choking air pollution, outbreaks of infectious disease and life as an environmental refugee.
